Nestled in the trees Julianna's Cottage sits overlooking Beaver's Pond. It is an upscale cabin with cedar furnishings. Featuring a private hot tub on your deck, the cottage is fully furnished and also features a romantic diamond shaped jacuzzi bathtub for two in the bath. Spend a day, a week or more. Come and watch wild ducks such as Mallards and Bufflehead cavort in the Spring or lazily feed during late Summer and Fall. You will feel as if you have entered a Thomas Kincaid picture. Enjoy your days sightseeing then relax over a romantic dinner at one of our many area restaurants or fix a gourmet dinner in the privacy of your cottage. You can occasionally catch a glimpse of Hank the Heron or Elvis the King Fisher as they seek small fish along the edge of the pond. Gus and Gertrude Goose usually bring their goslings and teach them to fly right here on the pond in early Spring. There are many other birds too! The pond has Cutthroat Trout and is a great spot to practice fly fishing (catch and release, private, no license required).

Beautifully renovated with lots of hickory, pine, cedar and skylights this cabin takes you back to another time. Set apart from the other cottages at Beaver's Pond Retreat Scott's Cabin provides private seclusion. Holly's Hideaway - Fire Pit - Barbecue This lovely little hideaway is a wonderful one bedroom, one bath rental. Fully furnished it includes a full kitchen with propane stove / oven. Everything you need to make your stay comfortable down to the comfy sofa blankets for snuggling with a good book and a cup of tea. Other amenities include a TV, Stereo, CD player, VCR, Hair dryer, Binoculars, and a video, book, and music CD library along with board games and puzzles. Wi-Fi is also available. There is a nice combination dining / living room with a dining table that seats 2 comfortably. All dishes and linens are provided.
It is a single wide trailer with kick outs in the living and dining room. It is great for a couple just looking to get away or for that family reunion that needs extra space for Grandma and Grandpa. Many a grandparent has enjoyed this retreat after a long day with the family. There is a front deck with a barbecue, garden chairs and picnic table overlooking the large yard where the deer pass thru in the early morning hours. It has a nice gabled roof that helps keep it cool in the summers and is wonderful for listening to the sound of the rain in the winter. There is also a fire pit in the large front yard.
Tucked away at the back of the property by Beaver Creek it shares a driveway with our home providing a quiet and peaceful setting with charm. It makes a wonderful base camp to relax and explore the Olympic Peninsula and Olympic National Park from. Along the back side of Beaver's Pond Retreat is Beaver Creek and a large wetland with beaver ponds created by beaver dams actively being built on our property. You may get a glimpse of our rascally little beavers or look to see their fresh cuttings as they build their newest dam. There are native Cutthroat Trout, raccoons and deer on the property as well as our local douglas squirrels and wonderful little chipmunks. The many Stellar Jays, Robins, Pileated Woodpeckers, Northern Flicker, Finches, Orioles Morning Grosebeaks, and Humming Birds along with many other birds not only provide hours of enjoyment to watch but provide a song every morning. It is wonderful to sit quietly on a bench at the edge of the wetlands watching the Buffle Head and Mallard Ducks, Hawks, Bald Eagles, Falcons and Blue Herons catching trout for their dinner or take off for flight unknown. The sounds of our Peninsula nights can be relaxing, inspirational and refreshing to the spirit. If you are looking for things to do there is plenty of Fishing, Hiking, Biking, Kayaking, Museums, Forts to explore, Shopping, Antiquing and Clamming. Other fun things to do or great days trips include the Olympic Game Farm, Hoh Rain Forest, the Olympic National Park, Sol Duc Hot Springs, the World Renowned Olympic Music Festival, Sequim Lavender Festival, or Port Townsend's - Wooden Boat Festival, Jazz Festival, Centrumns Center for Arts, Film Festival, take a boat ride to the San Juan Islands and see the Orcas Whales, take the ferry and visit Deception Pass on Whidbey Island or take a day trip into Seattle to experience Pikes Market, Pioneer Square the UnderGround, and the Seattle Aquarium. Victoria BC is also only a ferry ride away. Bring your passport and walk on the ferry for a great day trip across the border. A drive through Troll Haven is an unexpected treat as you drive to see the Sequim Lavender Farms or visit the Olympic Game Farm.
